The Significant Investor Visa (SIV) came into force in 2012. It offers a four-year pathway to permanent residency for entrepreneurial and high net worth individuals willing to make substantial complying investments in areas of the Australian economy that will drive innovation and the commercialisation of Australian ideas.

Back in 2011, Acapital submitted a proposal to the Australian Department of Immigration and the New South Wales (NSW) government to introduce a new high-end investment immigration policy (Significant Investors Visa) for high net worth individuals. In 2012, Acapital launched the first compliant fund under the Significant Investor Visa (SIV) framework.

In 2019, together with One Investment Group as the Trustee, Shield Resources Pty Ltd as the Founder, Yoschine Consulting Pty Ltd as the Marketing Consultant, Acapital launched the Acapital Shield Resources Fund which is a compliant fund under the new complying investment framework for the SIV which came into effect on 1 July 2015.
